In celebration of our volunteers, we are delighted to shine a spotlight on the dedicated helpers of our mission every month. It is important to know about these special people in our community.

July 2026: Virginia Center of Autism

This month, we are proud to highlight our wonderful partners from the Virginia Center of Autism, whose weekly presence brings life to the Ronald McDonald House Charlottesville. 

The Virginia Center of Autism team visits the House each Thursday in joyful spirits as they bake cookies that fill our House with warmth and comfort. As part of Ronald McDonald House Charlottesville’s well-known Pop Tabs Program, the VCA team collects and takes our donated tabs to the Recycling Center, as well as ensuring our recyclables are transported. Their efforts support both our families and our operations in countless ways. 

Their reliability and willingness to serve behind the scenes helps create a welcoming, well-cared-for environment for the families who call our House home. Each visit reflects their dedication to giving back and being active, trusted members of our community. 

We are so grateful to the Virginia Center of Autism for their faithful partnership and ongoing support of our mission. Thank you for all you do to help make our House feel like home!
