Our Mission

Ronald McDonald House Charlottesville exists to serve and sustain families when serious illness or injury strikes the most cherished part of their lives: their children. We provide a temporary home-away-from-home for families whose children are receiving treatment for a serious illness or injury at UVA Health Children’s. In an effort to lessen the burden, reduce stress, keep the family intact, and enhance the quality of life for these families, we provide affordable housing in a caring home-like atmosphere.
